The Ama people is a south Benacian people primarily found in Sanama. The Amas are closely related to the Sani people found in Sanama. The main differences are cultural and linguistic, while they mostly share the same religion. The Amas speak primarily the Ama language, with a minority in Sanama having switched to the Istvanistani language during colonial rule.
