The 1653 Elwynnese princely election took place in the aftermath of the Auspicious Occasion. It saw Liv Dravot being elected Princess of the Elwynnese Republic, succeeding Villy Esposito. It was the first princely election in Elwynn since 1607.

There was only one candidate to the position, Liv Dravot. The Senate motion read: That the Senate elect Liv Dravot to Princess of Elwynn with immediate effect. Half of all votes were in the affirmative, and half in the negative. The president of the Senate, Armin Jamal-Arminzadeh, broke the tie by voting for Liv Dravot. She was accordingly sworn in immediately afterwards.
