History

Srbozemlje era

On 30th September Dimitrije Golubović founded Srbozemlje. It was an autonomous territory of Florian Republic. Srbozemlje started its development from its foundation starting a 12 team football league, starting some companies, building roads, but, less than a month after the start of Srbozemlje the War of Lost Brothers started. The development of the nation was stopped and the preparation for the war started. During the period of the war, Dimitrije Golubović was inactive and thus Srbozemlje felt in the hands of Kingdom of Coria.

After the war finished in Micras Balkans and more of the half of Srbozemlje was captured by Kingdom of Coria the name was changed to Nohavland and Dimitrije Golubović took the title of the king. Some of the cities names were changed and all that was planned before the start of the war started becoming true. Nohavland started developing more rapidly than Srbozemlje.

The war has stopped us in our plans that we had and now when it is finished we can finally work on our development, on improving the Kingdom of Nohavland. Our next major step will be independence from Florian Republic. - said the king.

Unilateral Declaration of independence and suspension

After the declaration of independence, the Florian Republic government released a statement of anger. Said a spokesman, In the late hours of the 14th December 2017, the Florian Autonomous region of Srbozemlje unilaterally declared independence from our great country. This is a violation of law in the Florian Republic and this will not be tolerated. Earlier in the year, the region of Xhusor (now the Empire of Hondon) declared unilateral independence without an agreement during the bloody conflict in the region. After the war stricter legislation was passed that no Florian territory or region would declare independence without the approval of the Florian Parliament or a legal referendum. Srbozemlje is a very important part of the country regarding the economy and industry. It is inadmissible to declare independence implicitly and therefore the declaration of independence of Srbozemlje is suspended indefinitely. A few minutes later a vote was passed for the region to become under direct rule from the central government.

Nohavland Referendum of Independence

After the sudden declaration of independence happened Srbozemlje Crisis. It was, fortunately, resolved two days later on December 16th when Nohavland was granted a referendum. With the Florian Republic government it was arranged that the referendum will be held on February 1st.

Government and politics

King

Nohavland is ruled by a king, currently Dimitrije Golubović.

Ministries

There are four ministries:

• Ministry of Defence
• Ministry of Foreign Relations
• Ministry of Economy
• Ministry of Sport
• Ministry of Development

All of the ministers are chosen by the king himself and all of their decisions must be approved by him.

Military

Before the War of Lost Brothers

Srbozemlje was very weak in the terms of military. Before the war started there weren`t many investments in the defense industry. With the start of the war Srbozemlje defense industry started rising and thus more of the half of companies were manufacturing weaponry. During the war, many of the products were lost and some factories needed to move to other cities and build their factories all over again. The best example is Nohavland Ammunition Factory which was located in Srbograd, the former capital of the country which is now taken by Kingdom of Coria. The new factory is still in the process of building and its construction is helped by Freeland company GunTech.

Nohavland Armed Forces

After the war was finished restructuring the nation has begun, so the first move of the king was improving the armed forces of Nohavland. It all started by employing all of the factories for the production of weapons, but also working on new projects like Strah self-propelled howitzer in cooperation with Polish Republic of Freeland.

Our plan is to have a fully functional military until February. This new military would be much stronger than those Srbozemlje had at the start of the war. After February the armed forces will continue to improve, but not as rapidly as they do now. - said the king.

Projects

In the future period Nohavland Armed Forces have a plan to work more on improving artillery. There is a plan for a multiple rocket launcher to be constructed, but also for production of mortars for the military.

Economy

Infrastructure

Most of the main roads were destroyed in the War of Lost Brothers so right after the foundation of Nohavland infrastructure was one of the most important things to invest in. Three roads are currently in the process of construction (Bezimeni-Krava Village highway, Naisos-Krava Village highway, Naisos-Bezimeni highway). There are a lot of new plans regarding infrastructure in Nohavland and one of them is Nohavland Railway which will, until mid-January, become reality.

Companies

After the war Nohavland economy started developing very rapidly with cities rebuilding. There was a need for construction companies, but also companies in the food and telecommunication industry. The rebuilding of Nohavland is still active so there is a need for more and more new companies which is a good sign for the Nohavlandian economy.

Trading

During Srbozemlje era there were plans to trade with other countries regarding companies such as Warrior Snacks and N Drink, but those plans did not succeed. After the war and the founding of Nohavland trade started with Polish Republic of Freeland mainly in the military industry, but also in the food and drinks industry, as both nations sold drinks and snacks to each other.

Nohpolis

Nohpolis is a project started by the Ministry of Development with a goal of increasing the population of Nohavland. The city will, after the construction, have place for 1 million people.

Foreign relations

Nohavland works on establishing good relationships with all nations, but only formal relations are with Polish Republic of Freeland with which has been worked on the new military project Strah self-propelled howitzer and also traded with.

Culture

Sport

Sport plays a major role in Nohavland. There is no family in the kingdom that doesn`t enjoy playing or just watching sport.

Football

Football is the national sport in Nohavland. Most of the money for sport goes into it.

Srbozemlje SuperLeague

Srbozemlje SuperLeague existed during the Srbozemlje era. The league consisted of twelve teams most of them being located in Srbograd, the former capital of the country. Because of the war not much of it was played.

Nohavland Football League

After the war and the capturing of Srbograd by Kingdom of Coria, most of the football teams were gone. It was a major problem - how is the league going to start with so little teams left? The solution was found when amateur teams from Nohavland villages started applying to play in the league. The problem was solved and Nohavland Football League started with Nohavland Second League later being formed.

The national team

The national football team hasn`t played an official match yet, but there is a friendly scheduled for 3rd January against Incontinentia. The whole nation is awaiting the match with joy. Some of them are already buying tickets and preparing to go to the match, while most of them will watch it from their homes.

Under-21

Nohavland national under-21 football team is a major part of the national team. There are a lot of good young players in Nohavland willing to play for their nation and the under-21 football team gives them a chance to do so and later maybe play in the A-team. The under-21s of Nohavland haven't played an official football game yet and there also isn't any scheduled.

Basketball

Basketball is the second important sport in Nohavland. Along with football, only basketball has an official league. Warrior Snacks is an important sponsor for all basketball activities in Nohavland. Nohavland is a member of Micras Basketball Federation.

Warrior Basketball League

Warrior Basketball League is the official basketball league of Nohavland. It consists of six teams with four of them advancing to Koldagas Basketball League.

Floorball

Nohavland is officially a member of Micras Floorball Federation. It doesn`t yet have a national team and a league, but there are plans for it to become reality.

Demographics

Population

58.1 % of the population lives in cities while the rest (41.9 %) lives in villages.

Language

The main language in Nohavland is Serbian with English also being used.

Nohavlandian language

Nohavland also has its own language which is rarely used. The language was created due to the need of one for the book of the king Dimitrije Golubović. The Serbian-Nohavlandian dictionary currently has 320 words, but the dictionary is not yet finished.
