The South Sea Islands took part in Microvision Song Contest 2022 with the song "By Your Side" by Calvin Harris featuring Tom Grennan. The song is sung in Istvanistani. This act was performed sixteenth in this year's contest.
The song talks about how we all experience times when having somebody by our side, literally or figuratively, makes a world of difference. Very few meaningful moments or great memories are made when we're alone, which goes to show we're happier together, even when things aren't going to plan.
