Operation Southern Pride is a joint military operation orchestrated by the Imperial Constancian Armed Forces, alongside allied nations within the Raspur Pact and neighboring Euran allies. Tasked with the critical objectives of stabilizing the tumultuous region once governed by the now-collapsed Republic of Krasnovlac and eradicating the persistent threat posed by hostile insurgent factions such as Azad Eura and the Confederacy of the Dispossessed, the operation began on 13.III.1732 AN. Under the strategic oversight of General Shanene Hadewych, a seasoned leader within the ranks of the Imperial Constancian Army, and with the invaluable support and logistical expertise provided by Admiral Saifullah Noach of the Imperial Constancian Navy, the mission marked the start of a Constancian-led concerted effort to restore order and security to the area.
Background
As the value and scarcity of Alexandrium became known in 1729 AN, and seeing the results and consequences of Operation Verdant Reach, the Imperial Constancian government began its own process of securing deposits within the Imperial State. Alongside these developments, operatives of the State Protection Authority as well as observations from missions of the Committee of Euran Salvation in Mehrshahr noted the condition of the Republic of Krasnovlac. Fearing a repeat of Operation Icebox in 1718 AN, planning began on IX.1729 AN.
Operation Verdant Reach
Fall of Krasnovlac
The imminent collapse of Krasnovlac was evident, seen by the performance of the Krasno Shinc, not to mention the national economy, in recent months. This despite the presence of relatively strong consumer markets and economies with significant purchasing power, such as Zeed, Oportia, Suren, Constancia and Nouvelle Alexandrie. Word was relayed via the State Protection Authority to the Autokrator of Constancia, and plans were made alongside that of the Imperial Constancian Government.
Transit of forces through Suren
At the direction of Trans-Euran Command, endorsed in a closed session of the Committee of Euran Salvation, the Suren Confederacy, was obliged to facilitate the transit of the Constancian Foreign Legion through its territory to the Vipia Protectorate, which would host the build up of Constancian forces on the northern edge of the envisaged theatre of operations.
Units of the General Inspectorate of Eura and Corum were responsible for securing the Pan-Euran Highway and Trans-Euran Railway during these extensive troop movements, which occurred during the final third of the year 1731 AN. In spite of Surenid attempts at a media blackout, the disruption caused by the Constancian deployments were inevitably used by the factions opposing the Regency to stir up nationalist resentment.
