Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni or Saladin is a politician of New Batavia and, since 1700 AN, the Sultan of Kurum Ash-Sharqia and the founder of the House of Al-Lusirni.
New Batavia
Saladin was the last president of the Republic of the Netherlands. It was his party, the Islamic Revolutionary Party that reformed the republic into the Islamic Internet Republic on June 28, 2010. He said he wanted to give the nation a more distinct identity viz-à-viz Flanders and Batavia. Saladin was the first and last Sadr of this republic.
Due to the deadlock that resulted from the elections of June 2011, Saladin announced to go into exile on July 4, 2011. After the restoration of the Republic the office was renamed to President.
The office of President is a ceremonial role, and Saladin was known to keep this very seriously. He rarely participated in political debates or controversies.
Kurum Ash-Sharqia
Saladin was offered the crown in 1700 AN because of his outstanding tenure as president of New Batavia. After accepting the throne of Kurum Ash-Sharqia, he changed his name to Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni and moved to the city of Vrijplaats.
Marriage and issue
In 1701 AN he married Batavian princess Elisabeth Asara des Vinandy. As a consequence of that marriage, he automatically became a Knight of the Holy Lakes in Hurmu.
