Military Household of the Basileus
The Military Household of the Basileus is organised by the Mégas Doméstikos (Grand Domestic), a senior court functionary appointed by the Basileus upon the advise of the Autokrator. The Grand Domestic received a kabbadion of silk, in red and gold, as robes of state, and a maniakion (gold necklet) adorned with pearls.
Reporting to the Grand Domestic are the Basilikoi Anthropoi (Imperial Men) and the the Basilikoi Mandatōres (Imperial Messengers), each under the command of the Katepánō and the Prōtomandatōr respectively. The Imperial Men received purple tunics, whilst the Imperial Messengers were issued theirs in scarlet. and both were issued with white pantaloons, black jackboots, and a red fez in the Babkhan fashion. In the field all wear khaki cargo pants, a grey tunic, and a khaki jacket with purple trim for officers and green trim for other ranks, in common with the Imperial Guard.
Both the Imperial Men and the Imperial Messengers form distinct regiments, recruited from amongst children taken by the Imperial Constancian Armed Forces whilst they are on Razzia in the Green.
In addition to the abovementioned, the following are attached to the Military Household of the Basileus
- A maximum of ten generals without assignment who are available for temporary assignments;
- the eight aides-de-camp of the Basileus, who have their own aides-de-camp;
- the twelve batmen of the Basileus, usually officers;
- the Military Liaison of the Autokráteira;
- The Imperial Physician;
- A protodiakonos of the Patriarchal Orthodox Faith;
- an eight-man close protection detail;
- Forty domestics (cooks, clerks, manservants, drivers).

The established strength of the Military Household of the Autokráteira should not exceed one hundred and twenty men, comprising of:
- A maximum of ten generals without assignment who are available for temporary assignments;
- the eight aides-de-camp of the Autokráteira, who have their own aides-de-camp;

Since 1.III.1704 the Basileusa and Autokrateira is also concurrently Chairwoman of the ESB Group and concurrent commander of the 1634th ESB-Jörmungandr Division of the Imperial Constancian Army.
Athánatoi (Immortals)
The Immortals comprised of the most exclusive regiments of the ICAF, formed of cavalry and guardsmen who were a closed society where decorum and tradition counted above all else. Without exception all officers were triple indents from public schools, and to be eligible for these coveted commissions applicants had to demonstrate proficiency in the Vey dialect of the Old Kingdom, enjoy the patronage of an eminent person at Court, and trace the descent of their lineage from one of the families that had participated in the Katabasis following the Second Euran War. The Immortals would eat, sleep, and socialise, in cantonments entirely separate from those of the regular ICAF, and for officers there were yet further taboos regulating their behaviour. Any officer more senior than a lieutenant was forbidden to be seen carrying any bag or parcel heavier than a book. Beer was never to be seen at an officer's table. Tobacco was to be smoked loose and unfiltered, in a pipe or cigar. Cigarettes could be permitted in the field but never in the pre-rolled variety. Only those styles of dance favoured at the Court of the Autokrator could be performed by the officers, seeing as they were gentlemen in fidelity to the august personage of the same. In the mess all talk of politics, religion, and women were strictly prohibited, along with any discussion of the technical tradecraft of warfare.
The customs of the Court permeated the officer corps of the Immortals, and the exclusivity thereby encouraged through custom and traditions created a greater sense of pride amongst their cadres than amongst their counterparts in the regular army. This in turn led to greater discipline and higher standards of soldiering, befitting regiments considered to be amongst the elite of Eura. The top-line equipment delivered to the Immortals, held in triple-guarded arsenals set well apart from those of the regular forces or home guard and outside the control of the Trans-Euran Command, reflected this. However this focus on regimental particulars could have a detrimental effect - the mindset of the cavalryman and the courtier in their aggregate did not wholly encourage forward thinking attitudes towards the ways of modern warfare.

Dress, uniforms, and customs
When at court the officers of the Imperial General Staff and the Imperial Guard wear a gold-embroidered white fakeolion turban, a purple silk kabbadion embroidered in gold with the motif of the dual-headed Constancian eagle and the royal monograms worn over cream cavalry breeches and black leather riding boots, while the other ranks were issued with a green tunic known as the aurgarion worn over khaki trousers and brown leather jackboots. In the field all wear khaki cargo pants, a grey tunic, and a khaki jacket with purple trim for officers and green trim for other ranks.
Officers above the rank of major are expected to maintain their own private household retinues that are capable of assisting in the performance of military duties as required. These additional personnel, typically comprising of attendants, eunuchs, priests, physicians, and servants, are listed as supernumeraries when in the field with their employer.
