Cost

Reportedly an armoured vehicle developed by the Mishalan Arsenal from the MBT-1 Victor/MBT-2 Victoria/BK-III Verteidiger family of main battle tanks to serve as a test bed for newly emergent technologies. As of 1686 AN a number of prototypes are in various stages of development. Initial design studies, carried out in 1686 AN, were conducted under the project code name "Streifenwagen".

Design partnership

Initial design partnership agreements, based on the results of the Streifenwagen studies, were signed in late 1686 with the ESB Design Bureau of Natopia and Tudela Motor Company of Alduria-Wechua for engine development, SAI of Sanama chassis, tracks, wheel configurations, and gears, Eclipse, again of Sanama for countermeasures development, and Gaelen Technologies Corporation of Shireroth for information systems, sensor arrays, and network integration. Armament configurations and overall design integration work remained the responsibility of the Mishalan Arsenal's Land Platforms Division.

Variants

155 mm self-propelled howitzer
  • Heavy infantry fighting vehicle, based on the chassis of the BK-IV but with a completely redesigned hull with a single entry hatch in the rear and the engine compartment moved forward, and at the same time removing the normal crew compartment. This allows the installation of a new interior compartment, weighing up to 22 tons, that combined accommodation for up to 8 troops with 3 crew work stations for the vehicle driver, commander and RCWS operator. Armament comprised of a remote weapons system formed of a 30 mm autocannon and 7.62 mm machine gun.
  • Armoured Personnel Carrier, as with the HIFV but without the remote weapons system, providing carrying capacity for 10 troops with 2 crew work stations for the vehicle driver and commander/gunner. Armament consisting of single pintle-mounted 7.63 mm machine gun and covered firing loopholes for passengers.
  • 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, secondary armament consisting of single Polybolos 12.7 mm heavy machine gun pintle-mounted on the cupola for the vehicle commander's turret hatch. Evaluation vehicles were issued to the Military of Alduria-Wechua, the Black Legions, the Confederate States Armed Forces, the Sanaman Armed Forces, and the Union Defence Force in 1690 AN.
