Gerenian State Railway Company
Gerenian State Railway Company (Gerenian: Almisția Derveres States Gherenslene'es, abbreviated as the ADSG) is the state railway carrier of Gerenia. The railway network of Gerenia consists of 3548 km, of which 669 km (18.9%) are electrified.
ADSG as an entity has been operating since 2013, even though the first railway on current Gerenian territory was opened in 2012.
ADSG is headquartered in Port Elerat and has regional divisions centered in Klämen, Taizun, and Tawlkar.
History
The first railway line on Gerenia's present-day territory was opened on 2012 and ran between Ramez City and Port Elerat, on the Northern Sea. The line, which had a length of 36 km, was used solely for the transportation of building materials. Since February 2013, the line is operated by the newly-founded ADSG. The Company opened a number of lines that run throughout the country, with special development in the provinces of Clements, Erstveda, and Ramez.
Lines
The different lines have a two-number code. Codes ending in 0 are inter-provincial lines, codes ending in 1-4 are major, intra-provincial lines, and codes ending in 5-9 are minor lines. Some lines have also a "common name", which makes them easier to be identified. For example, Line 10 connects Port Elerat in Erstveda with Klämen in Clements, and its called Maiŷnat Line because it runs along Maiŷnat River.
