DNTP
The Daau National Talent Program or DNTP is a nation-wide programme which focuses on producing young footballing talents for Daau. Funded by the Dauian Sports Commitee and managed by the DSC Football Sector in collaboration with DAFA, the DNTP falls under non-public funding programs.
The programme specializes in youth development for Dauian players aged 11 to 20, with the goal of sending them off to professional football clubs or overseas. All full players which have graduated (term 1 and term 2) are permitted to skip national service to further focus on football as mentioned in the national service law.
Development
The program begins at age 6, where all kids of different backgrounds and race are encouraged to join. From ages 6-13, the program runs a part-time after school training schedule and players play games on Friday nights usually, competing the the DNTP Developmental League under the DNTP banner. From 13 to 16 years old, the program begins its Term 1 practice, where players are required to attend trainings on an everyday basis. Optional schooling provided by DAFA is provided to help students focus more on football, non-DNTP schooling is also encouraged. Players in Term 1 are assorted into 3 teams, DNTP North Select, DNTP Central Select and DNTP South Select, such that player resources are more evenly distributed. DNTP North trains and plays in the Catang Center, while DNTP Central is based in Inner Seragaan and is traditionally the more competitive team to get into. DNTP South is based in Sembalang Center.
At the end of Term 1, players have the option to graduate at 16 and move to other professional clubs in Daau or overseas or continue with the program. Term 2 begins at 16 where players are now required to undergo more rigorous training and schooling must be done in DNTP centers to ensure maximum effciency. Once at age 20, players graduate from Term 2 and the DNTP as a whole, ready to take on their profesional careers ahead. Players are inducted into a drafting system where players are picked up by DSL clubs. Players can also opt out of the DNTP Draft and opt to sign with Dei Rangers or Young Stars under the Direct Pathway Agreement between DNTP and DAFA.
For foreign players which do not hold a Dauian passport (Trisx Kettleworth), players will still be accepted but however will graduate when they are 16 unless they have applied for a Dauian passport.
