The Daau Football Association (Daau: Bola Sepak Di Daau) is the main governing body of association football in Daau. Officially founded in 2022, the association is responsible for all different kinds of football-related tournaments in Daau.

History

The Association was first founded by Nicklas Berndtner, known as the father of Daau football due to his immense support for local football and his work for Daau football. He soon realized that Daau needed a proper association rather than a corrupted Daau Football Federation. He and his team quickly reported the corrupt members of the DFF (formerly known as the Daau Football Federation, now as Daau Football Association). He then renamed the federation to its modern day name, Daau Football Association.

He set up the Daau Top League and the Daau Country Wide League, both now known as the Daau Super League and the Daau Premier League. Realizing that Daau needed fresh and young blood for the national team and league, Nicklas quicly set up the Daau Country Wide School League which was seperated into the lower school and upper school section for different age groups to participate.

The Daau national football team was then founded in due course.

On 3rd August 2022, the Daau national women's football team was founded.

President Isaac Zainol stepped down on the 23rd of May 2023 following a round of public online slandering regarding the national team's poor performance. His departure lead to a massive backlash towards the specific fan community which drove him away from continuing his passion towards Dauian football. Howard Jones was then elected as acting president following his departure.

DAFA would submit an application for Draugti's FMF membership to no avail, with FMF executive "Ed" asking DAFA "How many f**king national teams do you need" in explicit language. DAFA president Howard Jones claimed such actions were out of line coming from a gentleman with probable high regard in the micras community. As a result from such disrespect from the FMF, the Daau Sports Federation would issue a public statement as uproar rose among the footballing community.

President Howard Jones ended his term on 1st January 2025, ending his 2 year reign at the Football Association. Enrick Fernando was voted in as the new FA President following an internal vote.

Youth Development Programmes

The Daau Football Association focuses on football development and operates national age group programmes with U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-23 teams (known as Daau U23, who compete in the country's professional Daau Super League). The Football Assoication also operates Daau Premier League club Dei Rangers as part of the DNTP project.

All Daau Super League clubs have also fully implemented their own programmes for the Under-14s, adding on to the existing U-16s, U-18s and U-21s program.
