Valdemar al-Aziz

Valdemar al-Aziz Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed bin Sathrati al-Osman (born 19.II.1697 Raynor's Keep) is a Shirerithian prince. He is the second son of Prince Rubin and Princess Lyudmila of Shireroth, and grandson of Kaiser Ayreon IV.

Marriage

On 16.VIII.1741, he married Crown Prince Noor Ad-Din ibn Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni of Kurum Ash-Sharqia upon completing a nikah and receiving the permission of Kaiser Ayreon V to do so. The engagement and subsequent marriage were surrounded by controversy in Kurum Ash-Sharqia (see also Royal Conundrum).

Style and Titles

Valdemar is entitled to the style of His Serenity and Imperial Highness. He is Prince of Shireroth, Knight of the Holy Lakes, and Scion of the King of Kings by birth. Upon his marriage, he renounced his membership in the House of Waffel-Paine along with associated titles and the surname Waffel-Paine.

Name

He was given the name Valdemar al-Aziz Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed al-Osman bin Sathrati of Waffel-Paine upon his birth, with Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed al-Osman bin Sathrati of Waffel-Paine as his compound surname. In 1741, upon his marriage, he changed his surname to remove references to Waffel-Paine and restored the historical order of the other names, thus, Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed bin Sathrati al-Osman.
