The 2024 Formula Micras World Championship is a motor racing championship for single-seater cars which will be the third running of the Formula Micras World Championship. It is recognised by the Micras Federation of Motorsport (MFM), the governing body of international motorsport, as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars on Micras. The championship is contested over a number of 16 Grands Prix, which are held around the world.

After the presentation of the official calendar, the season will take place from March 2024 until December 2024, racing in 16 different Grands Prix

Drivers and teams are competing for the titles of World Drivers' Champion and World Constructors' Champion, respectively. Trent Cooper, 2-time world champion, is the reigning Drivers' Champion, while Sburo Deliziosa FM Team are the reigning Constructors' Champions.

Entries

The following constructors and drivers are under contract to compete in the 2024 World Championship. Each team compete with a tyre supplier. Until the 2023 season, the only two tyre suppliers were Bouncy Rings and Vitesse, but from this year the MFM allowed Aldurian Apex Motorsports and Moorland Motorsports to be supplied by Vitesse Suprême Pneus and LandFara respectively. Each team is required to enter at least two drivers, one for each of the two mandatory cars.

Team and driver changes

The 2024 season, unlike the previous one, sees the arrival of new teams and manufacturers. The 2022–23 Conscructors' Champion team, Typhon Group, fails to register for the championship, as do Bintang Motorsports and Waxhai Sport. Replacing these 3 teams are Aldurian Apex Motorsports, based in Nouvelle Alexandrie, which had already expressed its intention to join the championship during the previous year and which has invested heavily in its infrastructure in 2023, Moorland Motorsport and Victorian Volcanic Motorsports, based in Meckelnburgh.

The drivers of the teams already present in the 2023 season are instead reconfirmed en bloc, for the first time in fact we have no changes among the drivers compared to the previous season, with new entries that concern only the newly registered teams.

Calendar

The calendar was made official ahed of the season and includes 16 Grand Prixes, held in 12 countries on Micras. The current program foresees the start of the season on 17 March 2024 with the Vegnese Grand Prix in Cossa, chosen as the inaugural venue again for the third season of Formula Micras and will close, with the Northcliff Grand Prix, on 8 December 2024.

The Oportian Grand Prix and the Dauian Grand Prix were officially canceled by MFM shortly before the official calendar was announced, for security reasons due to the ongoing war in Eura.1

It's confirmed the presence of one season-break in summer from 22 July to 13 September, in order to give the participating teams holidays and time to develop the cars.
