Ben Lloyd is a Mercurian racing driver who competes for Sburo Deliziosa FM Team in Formula Micras. He's Mercurian most-notable racing driver, and the only one who participate in Formula Micras Championship, after the withdraw of Compton Motors in 2023.

Career

2022–23

Ben Lloyd is signed by Compton Motors for the first official season of Formula Micras, accompanied by compatriot Elliot Dawson. The driver's first official season didn't start very well, suffering a lot in the first few races, due to errors during the design of the new car, which put both him and his teammate in difficulty. The car's biggest problems are above all in qualifying where the two Merurian drivers are almost always excluded from the top 10 for the whole season and find it difficult to overcome the gap in Q2. The race pace is undoubtedly the strong point of the car which, however, starting from the back of the grid, creates numerous difficulties for the drivers.

Despite these problems, the Mercury driver manages to bring home a seventh place in the second race at the Florian Grand Prix, only to then have to settle for sporadic placements in the last slots of the points zone, such as a ninth place in his home grand prix. But the real highlight of the driver's season came in the last race when, with a great performance and an extraordinary race pace, he conquered the first podium of his career, finishing in third place and recovering 15 positions from the start.

With the early departure of the Compton team from the following 2023 season, the driver, also given the not brilliant performance of the car, seemed condemned to leave the FM circus, only to be contacted by Sburo Deliziosa FM Team, right at the last Grand Prix where he obtained third place, to replace the leaving Francesco Giocatore.
