Their Royal Majesty's National Guard[note 1] (TRMNG), commonly known as the Meckelnburgh National Guard, is one of the armed services of the United Kingdom of Meckelnburgh and Meckelnburgh's army. The National Guard is the principal component of the defense of the Meckelnburgh Realm and the majority of all its service personnel. As the commanding organization of both the regular army and militia, over 255,000 individuals can be mustered into its service, though only around 46,500 soldiers are in the standing force.
As the Military Postal Service, the National Guard is also responsible for rural mail and telecommunications services in Meckelnburgh, where civilian services are undeveloped. Northern Iselande, above the arctic circle, is the primary recipient, though the Comstokia Mountains in metropolitan Meckelnburgh are another service area.
