PRIMA, or the Production, Research and Intelligence organisation of Meckelnburgh and Aemilia is a military cooperation between the Confoederatio Aemilia and the United Kingdom of Meckelnburgh. The organisation was founded in II.1738 following high-level discussions between the respective governments of Aemilia and Meckelnburgh, years of cooperation in the Xäiville Convention and years of amicable informal cooperation. While an agreement on mutual defence was deemed impractical, with both nations positioned on near opposite parts of the globe, the nations agreed to work together on the production and development of military equipment, and to share data collected by all their intelligence agencies with each other. The two nations found each other as they shared norms and values, being both liberal democracies.
Structure
The treaty establishing the organisation, the Treaty for the establishment of an organisation for cooperation in Production, Research and Intelligence for Meckelnburgh and Aemilia was signed in Sint Anna, an Aemilian city roughly halfway between the mainland of Aemilia and the territories of Meckelnburgh. Due to the demilitarised nature of Aemilian Alrig, offices of PRIMA are not located in Sint Anna, but rather in Alexandretta (Meckelnburgh) and the mountains south of Stadt Taktwinkel (Aemilia).
