The 2012 Copa Apollonia was the first tournament of the Copa Apollonia, and was held in North Antarctica between 13 August and 25 August 2012. Nine of the ten competing national teams qualified successfully to be involved, with Antica being invited to compete as FMF World Cup hosts. The tournament's matches were played in eight stadiums in three different cities around North Antarctica.
The tournament was won by Novatainia, for their first ever title, who beat Mahoz HaSephardim in the final in New Livingston.
Hosting
North Antarctica was chosen as the host of the tournament after submitting one of two applications. The FMF Executives agreed that the North Antarctican bid was more suited for hosting than the other applicant's and it was announced that the host's national team would receive an automatic berth in the tournament.
