Empress Clara (born Adelaide Carrillo of Waffel-Paine in 1694) is the reigning Empress of the Natopians and current Queen Consort of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
The daughter of Emperor-consort Edward Carrillo Rothborne (and the titular Alexandrian dauphin) and Empress Vadoma Rowena Waffel-Paine, she married Crown Prince Uturuncu (a distant relative) of Nouvelle Alexandrie in 1721. Following her husband's ascension to the throne as King Sinchi Roca II in 1735, Adelaide became Queen of Nouvelle Alexandrie. By her marriage, she was restored to the membership of the Order of the Holy Lakes that was lost in 1698 by the renunciation of the same by her grandfather Emperor Nathan II.
As Queen of Nouvelle Alexandrie and Crown Princess of Natopia, Adelaide holds a unique position bridging two major powers. Her dual roles underscore the close ties between the two nations and represent a significant diplomatic link in international relations.
In accordance with the Petropolis Compact of 1734, she was constitutionally placed in the succession to the Imperial Throne of the Imperial State of Constancia.
