The Gangwol telenovela (Phineaner: Telenovela loghat Gangwol; Taesongean: 강월의 텔레노벨라; RR: Gangwol-ui Telenobela) or Pyeongrang telenovela (Phineaner: Telenovela loghat Pyeongrang; Taesongean: 평랑의 텔레노벨라; RR: Pyeongrang-ui Telenobela), also more popularly known as G-novela or PP-novela, is a television series or soap opera in the Gangwol dialect including Gangwol-based creoles, produced in the Gangwol-speaking region, mostly produced in the Phinbellan Maritime Territories, Territory of Flower and Negara Awan, and there produced in special administrative territories. This Gangwol telenovela is different from the Martino-language telenovela or soap operas in other countries in Micras. This Gangwol telenovela is also differentiated from the drama genre that was also produced in Phinbella, namely Federation drama (in Free area of the Federation) and Creole drama (in Oriental Hispanioéire Taemhwan). However, the Gangwol telenovelas has become popular throughout Phinbella despite being aired on regional television stations, but its popularity has expanded following the growing sale of DVDs or blu-rays.
The storyline in these Gangwol telenovelas is quite similar to telenovelas abroad, but it sets the scene in Phinbella and possibly in outer space. G-novelas are produced in live action and in anime either 2D or 3D, it is not the same as soap operas that are usually produced in live action. G-novelas aired in an estimated 20 to 200 episodes, and it lasted for only 45 minutes. G-novelas were influenced by soap operas or telenovelas in the 80s to early 2000s and the native Taesongean soap opera. G-novelas are broadcast on three time slots on regional television, namely in the morning (09:00 to 12:00), sunset time (19:00 or 19:15 to 20:00) and late at night (23:00 to 03:00, accompanied by anime), usually aired on weekends i.e. from Friday to Monday (or from Saturday to Tuesday late at night).
As for some G-novelas aired on BS satellite television channels causing it to be available nationwide, coupled with DVD and blu-ray sales. These three G-novelas slots are according to the suitability of the set genres, where the genres tend to be of interest to the audience or fans of G-novelas.
Some of the most famous G-novelas have been aired on traditional television channels in other regions in Phinbella as well as in Forajasaki. The federal government has planned to try to export G-novelas to be marketed overseas including in Keltia, Apollonia and Corum.
Overview
Format
Gangwol-speaking regional television stations aired distinctive telenovela-format television series dramas in the RP 2600s. G-novelas usually run for one season, rarely Gangwol telenovelas run for more than a season. The minimum number of Gangwol telenovela episodes is 20 to 50 episodes in 45 minutes each, and a maximum of 150 to 200 episodes in 45 minutes each. Rarely do series run more than 200 episodes and also rarely do series run less than 20 episodes.
The broadcast time for the Gangwol telenovela is in three slots, namely between 9 am and 12 noon for the morning, between 7 and 8 pm for the sunset and between 11 pm and 3 am for the late night, and episodes aired on weekends, i.e. on four consecutive days i.e. Friday to Monday, and on three consecutive days on late night slots i.e. Saturday, Monday and Tuesday nights (all television stations shut down transmission on Friday and Sunday nights). It is understood that the weekend time is best suited to watch this Gangwol telenovela series.
Most Gangwol telenovela series appear on every nationwide network: Keopuchean Broadcasting System (KBS), Niikkai National Television Network (NNN), Southern Cross Broadcasting (SCB), Megalopolis Television Broadcasting Network (MegaTXBN), entity-wide network: Public Broadcasting of the Federation (FPPO), regional networks: Tannyeugwa Public Broadcasting Network (TPBN), Hi-Vi Free International Settlements Public Broadcasting Network (HiFISPBN), Redifussion Television (RTV), Maritime Television System Limited (STMB), Yesue-yi Television Network (YTN), and satellite television networks: Jayu Satellite Broadcasting (JSB) as well as on cable channels. Nationwide television networks can only broadcast Gangwol telenovelas on local broadcasting stations in the region, but programming for the Gangwol telenovela varies according to its stations. Several Gangwol telenovelas screened at local stations will be rebroadcast on satellite channels.
The Gangwol telenovela is a genre of drama in Phinbella produced in live action and anime formats either in 2D or 3D, and it is getting a very encouraging response all over Phinbella, as there are only so many audiences who are very interested in anime at the moment.
Genre
Gangwol telenovelas have genres that are very likely to be of interest to the audience such as romance, slice of life, action, sci-fi, historical stories and teen dramas. The majority of Gangwol telenovelas have romantic elements and emotional themes such as telenovelas and soap operas abroad. The main theme of the dramas in Phinbella including the telenovela Gangwol is similar to the main theme of the Taesongean dramas. Many Gangwol telenovelas are based on short stories, manga or novels, such as the Celestial Feelings which is based on a short story yet it runs for 40 episodes.
Gangwol telenovela also has genres that can only be shown on late night slots, such as having elements of yaoi (boys love), omegaverse, yuri, harem and isekai. However, it can only be watched by its fans, namely the fujoshi and fudanshi groups, because many telenovelas with yaoi or omegaverse elements are broadcast every late night. Among the yaoi or omegaverse telenovelas that got the highest rating is The Son of the Crystal which aired at the end of RP 2613 with 20 episodes, and it can be exported to the Poyoan settlement area in Bahot and Ghawur.
DVD or blu-ray distribution
All of the Gangwol telenovelas in these three slots, which also feature certain genres are available on DVD or blu-ray at a low price of 4 to 10 florins. DVD promotions for telenovelas or related items have been aired at the end of the slots, each production company can advertise its telenovela DVD products at a very low cost as a result of the opinion of its broadcasting station. But as a result, the rating for the Gangwol telenovelas is very high and many people buy or order the DVD.
At the end of RP 2607, after the telenovela titled Seguni Mawar Merah received much response from viewers and reached the highest rating in mid-RP 2607, less than 1 million DVD units were sold out in the Phinbellan Maritime Territories, and more than 14.2 million DVD units and blu-ray has sold out throughout the Free area of the Federation. Just themed on friendship between humans and animals but it became a phenomenon in the drama industry in Phinbella.
