The Bassarid Federation is an association of four independent states, created during the last months of the War of Lost Brothers to coordinate and consolidate the military, economical and political efforts of the empires of Jingdao, Passio-Corum and - in a lesser degree - the Maritime Markets of the Strait of Haifa and the Empire of Hondon.
The Federation's early history is closely tied together with that of the USSO, as the alliance between the four nations, established during their cooperation as members of the USSO, became more intense through time. Eventually, the royal courts and political elites of both empires started careful negotiations about joining each other in a new, strong union state. Eventually an agreement was reached.
