History
Established in 35.65 PSSC, the Province of the River Erik represents the cities of Zartosht and Pallisican Port Felix in the Pallisican government, and on the Port of Storms. Located in southern Eura, the Province is home to the wooly giants who travel annually to sell their furs in the Port Felix Wool markets, as well as the Ministry of Zartosht, the only recognized order of the Stripping Path outside of the Maritime Markets of the Strait of Haifa. Located in the heart of the city of Zartosht, the Temple of the Ministry of Zartosht is believed to house a statue of the god of the Stripping Path which is capable of miraculously spinning, or dancing on its base. According to local legend, this statue is known to rotate on its base once every night for a period of three nights, once every three months. The validity of these claims is unclear however, as non-members of the order are strictly prohibited from accessing the statue.
Zartosht, the capital of the Province of the River Erik, is unofficially ruled by the Basileusa of Zartosht, a prominent priestess of Bacchus and leader of the Ministry of Zartosht, who enjoys powers similar, although unequal to those of the Priestess of Agripinilla. Like the Priestess of Agripinilla, the Basileusa of Zartosht is a close friend and personal ally of Empress Kan Zen. It was this relationship between the Basileusa and the Empress Oracle which directly contributed to the annexation of Zartosht by the Greater Pallisican Trade Association, and the rapid establishment of the Province of the River Erik.
