The Lanzerwald national football team is nicknamed ''the Lambs'' because of their insistence to only wear woollen sportswear, rather than kits made out of polyester and other man-made materials. This custom is in line with the rejection of modernity in Lanzerwald society, and practically the nation-wide ban on all plastics in the Realm of the Sovereign Lanzerwald.

The Lanzerwald national football team is the football team which represents the micronation of Lanzerwald. It is a member of the CTFA, and is run by the Association for Football and Sport in the Lanzerwald. The team is the official successor of Sankt Ludwigshafen and as such retains its records.

History

The team was founded in mid-2022 after the foundation of Lanzerwald as the successor state to Sankt Ludwigshafen. As Sankt Ludwigshafen, the team finished fourth in their group in the 2021 World Cup qualifiers before improving to place second in their CiboTap 2022 qualifying group, which advanced them to a successful play-off appearance and a subsequent first CiboTap finals. At CiboTap 2022, the team was knocked-out in the group stage.
