The 2022 Phinbellan presidential election or 2618 Phinbellan presidential election (Phineaner: Pilihanraya Presiden Phinbella 2618; Taesongean: 2618년 핀벨라의 대통령 선거; RR2618-nyeon Phinbella-ui Daetongnyeong Seon-geo) is a sixth Phinbellan presidential election, it is scheduled to be held in Phinbella on 3 February RP 2618. It will be the second presidential election since the provisional government was dissolved in RP 2615. Under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Phinbella, the president is limited to one term of eighteen months, which means its incumbent, Mat Fenian Sheares is not eligible to run in this election for a second term after being elected unopposed.

Background

The President is the head of state of the Supranational State of the Federal Republic of Phinbella. According to the constitution, his position is largely ceremonial. During the provisional government, the election of the president was based on votes by parliament, although shifting from a presidential republic to a parliamentary republic, and subsequently shifting to a presidential republic. Since the provisional government was dissolved, Phinbella has been a parliamentary republic.

The president is elected through a round of popularity voting system, and he is elected by universal suffrage even if reserved for certain groups. The president serves eighteen months for one term, and is not eligible for re-electing either directly or indirectly.

There are strict requirements for candidates, the fullness of candidates for eligibility or otherwise will be decided by the Phinbellan Election Commission.

Danny Eric Mat Joh A former president of the Toromuan People's Association from Rimba Raya, Federal Special Capital Territory. He is from the Toromuan tribe. He once held the position of Governor of the Carey Islands and New Territories until the end of RP 2617. He has fulfilled the wishes of his followers and subsequently announced his candidacy. He had submitted the eligibility form on January 16 last and he was the first person to submit the form on the last day of application, his rival Karrimoon was the last person submit the form on the same day.
Muhammad Jack Yahya He is a tokbatin or village head in Kampung Serasat, Maritime Kachi Kochi, he is from the Ruontokunian tribe which inhabits the hilly area in Maritime Kachi Kochi. He has never been directly involved in the political arena and he has announced his candidacy on 28 December RP 2617. On 12 January, he has submitted his qualification form.
Muhammad Furkorn Mat Jeen The former member of parliament representing the lowland aboriginal constituency, is a candidate from the Toromuan tribe and hails from Kampung Parit Kianggeh, Bunam, Territory of Flower. He had been an elected representative since RP 2600 until he left politics in RP 2612 and was subsequently appointed by the President of the provisional government as Governor of the Directly Administered Territories and Dependent Territories until RP 2617. He announced his candidacy on January 5 and he submitted his eligibility form. ten days later.

At 21:00 NAT/22:20 PPT, the Phinbellan Election Commission has announced that it has announced the candidates who have been eligible to contest in the presidential election namely Mat Amen Tokiwahtun, Danny Eric Mat Joh, Muhammad Jack Yahya, Muhammad Furkorn Mat Jeen and Karrimoon a/l Yazeet, they were also given a certificate of eligibility. All five candidates have met certain criteria through the Article on the President in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Phinbella. Danny and Jack are also satisfied with the criteria in the Article.

All five candidates were successfully nominated at the National Youth Skills Institute, Pos Rodbai at 10:00 NAT/11: 20 PPT. The respective election symbols and slogans have been announced. This presidential election is a five-cornered contest.
