The July 2009 Microvision was the planned fifteenth hosting of the contest, and had a total of seven entrants. It was planned to be held in Novograd, Interland, and was given a theme of 1990s music.
It was abandoned after an insufficient amount of points allocations was received, which began a near-four-year hiatus of the contest as a whole.
