Their Royal Majesty's Services at Arms, more commonly known as the Armed Services, are the 10 military and quasi-military services that commission officers in the United Kingdom of Meckelnburgh, consisting of the countries of Meckelnburgh proper, Branniboria, Salem and Iselande. The Armed Services are coextensive with the Meckelnburghish military as all members are trained (to different extents) in arms and may be deployed in combat zones. The tradition of placing certain professions in uniform in Meckelnburgh descends from the need to protect certain servicemembers, such as surveyors and medics, under the laws of war.
Not all agencies of Meckelnburgh that wear uniforms or have ranks, are part of Their Royal Majesty's Services at Arms. This would include the Royal Meckelnburgh Constabulary, a civilian counterpart to functions carried out by the Royal Meckelnburgh Gendarmery.
The Armed Services are not an organization themselves. As the functional components of the Ministry of Military Affairs, the Meckelnburgh military prepares the readiness, security and functionality of Meckelnburgh's defense apparatus. This involves the commissioning and training of officers across the nine services, and preparing enlisted members for roles ranging from combat to specialized support functions.

Royal Corps of Signals

The Royal Corps of Signals is the second most modern branch of the Meckelnburgh military and the first branch founded after Meckelnburgh was established in 1685 AN, 30 years later in 1716 AN. The corps is focused on cybersecurity, signals and defense intelligence. The corps commissions professionals in cybersecurity, data analytics, and information technology to safeguard Meckelnburgh's digital infrastructure, preventing cyber threats and gathering military intelligence to share with all defense institutions. The Royal Corps of Signals also operates Meckelnburgh's security vessels and reconnaissance aircraft.
In contrast to many signals corps, the Royal Corps of Signals does not engage in military communications engineering and is dedicated to signals intelligence. Telephone, radio, satellite and other communications infrastructure is instead the responsibility of the Royal Corps of Engineers and Royal Army Logistics Regiment.
