Calbion has participated in the Microvision Song Contest three times. The nation debuted in the 2016 contest and participated again in 2020. The musical traditions of Calbion, characterised by pub singing, traditional folk music and slightly outdated rock music known as "calpop", have prevented the country from winning the contest thusfar.
