Royal Meckelnburgh Airways (RMBA), branded as RMBA: Meckelnburgh Airways, is the flag carrier and largest airline in Meckelnburgh. It is wholly owned by Their Royal Majesty's Government of Meckelnburgh. Its hub is Alexandretta Intercontinental Airport in the largest city and capital Alexandretta, with secondary hubs in Fenixtune and Alexandrople, the largest cities in the constituent countries of Iselande and Branniboria. As Meckelnburgh's primary airline, Meckelnburgh Airways operates a network of domestic and international flight routes throughout metropolitan Meckelnburgh, providing the primary international transit link outside of the Apollonian Express.

History

The airline was originally opened as Meckelnburgh Airways in 1685 AN, principally operating minor flights between Alexandretta and Fríða in the Palatinate of Hergilsey, a dependent island province of Meckelnburgh. In 1723 AN, following increased demand, Royal Meckelnburgh Airways was established to provide consistent air links between Hergilsey, Iselande and potential international destinations for the first time. Customs facilities in the various international airports began construction in 1721 AN and were completed by 1723 AN. The international expansions of the airports also allowed the airline expand access to premium customer experiences, installing member lounges in the three airports. Facilities were expanded by 1732 AN into Branniboria to allow for international air travel to the country.

The Royal Meckelnburgh Airways operates some of the most northern scheduled routes on Micras: the route from Alexandretta to Fenixtune crosses the polar circle, and the Fenixtune—North Antrusburgh route is within 24-hour polar night during winter months. The shortest domestic route in the system is Victoria to Lunden Executive Airport, providing direct services to the casino city on the coast of the Crowsilver Sea and Geneva Gulf. The longest domestic route is Alexandrople to Fenixtune, connecting Branniboria directly with Iselande and flying over the northern shores of the Genevelond Peninsula. No regular services reach the third constituent country of Salem.
