The 2022–23 Formula Micras World Championship is a motor racing championship for single-seater cars which will be the first running of the Formula Micras World Championship. It is recognised by the Micras Federation of Motorsport (MFM), the governing body of international motorsport, as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars on Micras. The championship is contested over a number of Grands Prix, which are held around the world.
After the presentation of the official calendar, the season will take place from the end of June 2022 until the beginning of April 2023, racing in 20 different Grands Prix.
Drivers and teams are competing for the titles of World Drivers' Champion and World Constructors' Champion, respectively.
Entries
The following constructors and drivers are currently under contract to compete in the 2022-23 World Championship. Each team can compete with tyres supplied by Vitesse or Bouncy Rings. Each team is required to enter at least two drivers, one for each of the two mandatory cars.
Official calendar
The calendar was made official at the end of May 2022 and includes 21 Grand Prixes, held in 17 countries on Micras. The current program foresees the start of the season on 19 June 2022 with the Vegnese Grand Prix, chosen as the inaugural venue for the first season of Formula Micras and will close, again in Vegno, with the Campoasciutto Grand Prix, on 9 April 2023.
There are also two breaks: one in summer from 18 July to 15 September and a winter one from 19 December to 26 January 2023, to give the participating teams holidays and time to develop the cars.
