The Royal Meckelnburgh Soccer Federation (RMSF; Meckelnish: Kööningkleke Ƀuutbaalbuunt Mächeleböörchs; Alexandrian: Fédération Meckelmbourgeoise royale de football; Aspiranto: Reĝa Mekelnburga Futbalo-Federacio) is the sanctioning body for association football, arena football and sport (a version of association football) in metropolitan Meckelnburgh, Branniboria and Salem in the United Kingdom of Meckelnburgh. It is responsible for the organization of the Meckelnburgh national football team and its domestic leagues, both professional and amateur. It is a member of the AEFA. The federation is an agency of the kingdom's Ministry of Culture & Sport and is publicly funded.
History
Numerous independent teams and clubs existed prior to the RMSF, but lacked a unified sanctioning body. A formal federation was authorized in 2020 CE by the Parliament of Meckelnburgh, which also provided financing for professional teams nationwide. After the success of the 2020 season, Parliament has continued to appropriate RMSF funds for development and expansion.
Starting in 2026 CE, the Royal Meckelnburgh Soccer Federation absorbed all previous functions of the Branniboria Soccer Association following the principles laid out in the constitutional reforms in the Act of Settlement (1755). Branniborian teams were then also incorporated into metropolitan Meckelnburgh's professional and amateur soccer leagues, though internal conferences were organized to limit the major logistics of Tallandor Bay separating the two countries.
Government funds
Because of the sub-polar weather in Meckelnburgh, matches are often played indoors or in the snow, necessitating special facilities for many clubs and teams. The Ministry of Culture & Sport subsides a network of sportsplexes nationwide that provide for the warm-weather sports, including clubs of Meckelnish Soccer.
