Sport

Sport is the national sport of Alrig and the Lanzerwald Republic. It follows most of the rules of football that have been established by the FMF, but matches in sport only take 2 x 20 minutes and an entire competition is usually played in a single weekend. Sport is organised by the Esteemed Republican Alriggian Sports Guild, which is a member of the Apollonia and Eura Football Association, as well as by the Association for Football and Sport in the Lanzerwald which is a member of the Cibola and Tapfer Football Association.

After the independence of Sankt Ludwigshafen, formerly a region in Alrig, the Ludwigger Fußball-Bund also organised sport competitions, though its primary competition, the Ludwiggian Football League followed FMF rules. When Sankt Ludwigshafen became the Lanzerwald Republic interest in sport was re-ignited and more competitions were held again.

International

A national sanctioning body for sport exists in Meckelnburgh, the Association of Sportball in Meckelnburgh, where it is played by primarily Meckelnish-speaking residents of Siegrwangria in southern Meckelnburgh. The name of "sportball" for sport in Meckelnburgh comes from the Meckelnish name of the activity, "sportbaal."
