Meckelnburgh took part in Microvision Song Contest 2023 with the song "Heroes" by David Bowie and Brian Eno, sung by Peter Gabriel. The song is sung in Istvanistani.
In the mid-1600s, Shireroth invaded what would become southern Meckelnburgh and established the colony of Crowsilver. In part, the new colony bordered the Old Wall of Aegir in the present Province of Norman. The song tells the story of two lovers separated by the Wall and their struggle to be united in a community divided by overwhelming foreign imperialism.
