The Etourney national football team is the football team which currently represents the Florian autonomous territory of Etourney, and previously represented the Florian Republic autonomous territory of the same name. It is a member of the CTFA.
The team has existed twice in the FMF's history; firstly between mid-2017 and mid-2018 as an autonomous territory of the Florian Republic, and secondly since later in 2018 again as a Florian Republic autonomous territory and in its current form.
History
Etourney applied successfully to join the FMF after the territory was founded by the Florian Republic in mid-2017. Later in the year, the team competed in the inaugural Devon Shield, where they were eliminated in the second round after recording a first ever victory.
The team competed in the 2018 CiboTap Championships qualification rounds, where they finished third in their five-team group with ten points before being integrated into the Florian side soon afterwards, after Etourney's autonomy was decreased. However, later in the year, Etourney successfully reapplied for FMF membership.
In the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, the team finished fourth in their six-team group with eleven points. Later in the year, Etourney participated in the 2019 Noka Cup, advancing from their group with four points before winning their semi-final and losing the final to hosts Sanpantul to place second.
During the 2020 qualifiers, Etourney became a territory of the Confederate States of Floria, following its creation as the successor state to the Florian Republic, and maintained its separate FMF membership. In the qualifiers themselves, the team performed well and topped their four-team group with 13 points to reach a first ever finals, where they finished bottom of their four-team group after three heavy defeats.
Ahead of the 2021 World Cup qualifiers, in late 2020, the team entered the inaugural edition of the Raspur Pact Nations League and competed in its bottom tier, finishing top of their four-team group after winning every match to be promoted. In the qualifiers, the team placed fourth in their six-team group with 14 points.
In the following year's CiboTap qualifiers, the team finished third in their five-team group with 13 points.
The 2023 FMF World Cup qualification rounds saw the team finish second in their six-team group with 18 points, ahead of Greater Sangun by virtue of goals scored.
The team competed in the CiboTap 2024 qualifiers the following year, where they topped their five-team group unbeaten with 18 points to qualify for the finals. However, at CiboTap, the team were eliminated at the first hurdle after finishing bottom of their four-team group with a sole point.
