The South Sea Islands national football team is the football team which represents the micronation of the South Sea Islands. It is a member of the CTFA.
History
The team was founded in mid-2020 after the South Sea Islands' Micrasian claim was successful. They first competed in the 2021 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, finishing fifth in their six-team group with seven points.
In the following year's CiboTap qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their five-team group with four points.
The 2023 FMF World Cup qualification rounds saw the team finish bottom of their six-team group with a sole point to their name, leading to an appearance at the 2023 Emerging Nations Cup, where they lost in the quarter-finals.
The team competed in the CiboTap 2024 qualifiers the following year, where they placed bottom of their five-team group after gaining a sole point. This form led to a place at the 2024 Emerging Nations Cup, where the team overcame Celebarad on penalties in the quarter-finals before losing 3–1 to Northbloom in the semis and 2–1 to Lusa to finish fourth overall.
