The Northbloom national football team was the football team which most recently represented the Mondosphere constituent nation of Northbloom, and previously represented the Kalgachian protectorate of the same name. It was a member of the WMFA. The team is the official predecessor of Highbloom.
History
The team was founded in late 2021 after Northbloom, which had existed on Micras since 2018, applied successfully for FMF membership. They first competed in the following year's Benacia Cup qualifiers, where they finished bottom of their five-team group with three points.
During 2023's qualifying rounds, Northbloom was annexed by, and became a constituent nation of, the Mondosphere. Those qualification rounds saw the team finish bottom of their five-team group with three points, behind Lusa on goal difference.
The team competed in the Benacia Cup qualifiers the following year, where they placed bottom of their four-team group with four points. This form led to a place at the 2024 Emerging Nations Cup, where the team overcame Florian Eura in the quarter-finals before beating the South Sea Islands in the semis and Port Balaine in the final to secure a first ever trophy.
In 2025's World Cup qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their five-team group after failing to gain a point. Northbloom was integrated into Highbloom later in the year, with the team being succeeded by Highbloom's.
