List of extramicrasian contacts

The planet of Micras has played host to numerous entities over the centuries claiming to be the representatives of powers inhabiting worlds located outside of the Atos system. Whilst the majority of these extramicrasian interlocutors have been human in origin, more or less, some have forms that are fundamentally alien in their very nature - indeed it is these species, such as the safir, that have given rise to concerns about the status of Humanity in the wider galaxy, and fuelled the growth of the Humanist Movement on Micras.

By 1477, the nekovalkyrja – a species of humanoids with feline features – of the Grand Star Army had established settlements on Hypernostria, which lasted for a few years before being ceded to Menelmacar. Contact with the Grand Star Empire ceased by 1489. However, the Empire appears going strong, under the name of the Yamatai Star Empire.
Grand Commonwealth et al	1519 AN	Lapsed after 1555 AN	Human	Giess	Unknown	Portal	What was originally a colonisation attempt on Giess by formerly Micrasian human powers, spearheaded by the Grand Commonwealth, became an attempt to supplant Micras that ultimately failed owing to an overreliance upon the Hurmu Gate.
Elwynn (Shireroth)	1551 AN	Lapsed after 1553 AN	Ohl'tar	Unknown	Unknown	TBD	An arachnid-like extramicran species suddenly made contact with the ducal authorities of Elwynn in 1551, caused a massacre in Alumelith the same year, and were then eradicated by the Elwynnese authorities by 1553. Very little knowledge of them. Potentially not an extramicrasian species but rather a progenitor of the Deep Singers emanating from the chthonic strata of Micras' prehistory. The completeness of their destruction on the orders of the Khan of Vijayanagara has made further investigations impracticable at the present.
Safir Alliance	1562 AN	Ongoing	Safir	Daia	Enâra	Spaceships	Safir Alliance colonisation efforts on Micras failed by 1582 AN. Three safir Kaisers of Shireroth: Rei (1577–1579), Semisa II (1608), and Daniel III (1624–1629). Population found in the Natopian demesne of the Principality of Whales, with the second-largest group of safir living in Opaeghia (also a Natopian demesne).

Hoenn	1607 AN 1632 AN	Lapsed after 1674 AN	Human	Terra	Sol	Portal	Possible ancestral homeworld of Humanity. Also home to a panoply of fantastical creatures known as masu (‮魔獸‬) or pokémon. Jingdaoese incursion (1607 AN) resulted in the occupation of Sweden, which may be ongoing.
