The Volunteer Grenadier Brigade "Nordstorm" (Cibolan Saxon: Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Brigade "Nordsturm") is a Mondosphere-Hurmu combat formation, currently being raised at Ny-Zanzibar for operations within Keltian Hurmu in support of the Senate of the Lakes during the 1719–1720 Hurmu civil conflict. The brigade was originally intended to be comprised of pro-Senate volunteers from Samhold and Karnamark, supplemented by personnel from various Mondosphere countries, principally Etzeland and Riskai; however two regiments from the Army of Karnamark were seconded to the formation following that army's defection on 6-7.I.1720 AN.
For political reasons, EMMP leader and Assembly member Greta Mondosdottra assumed command of the brigade on 7.II.1720 AN. In view of her youth and lack of military experience, actual control of the brigade is believed to remain in the hands of her Mondosphere staff officers.
