Birchwood National Institute of Sports Science, commonly known as Birchwood is a National Football Centre (NFC) that will be run by the Royal Football Association and the Victorian Football Association on a 330-acre (130 ha) site deep in the Birchwood Forest, Dundas.
The purpose of the centre is to be the base for all coaching and development work undertaken by both Football Associations, and the training and preparation ground for all of the Victorian national football teams. It is still unknown if the Gotzborg national football teams will also use the institute in the same way.
