The Sanaman Navy (Third Republic) is the naval component of the Sanaman Armed Forces.
History
Role
The mission of the Sanaman Navy is to prepare the naval forces necessary for the effective prosecution of war, the maintenance of naval aviation, air transport essential for naval operations, and all air weapons and air techniques involved in the operations and activities of the Navy, and the development of aircraft, weapons, tactics, technique, organization, and equipment of naval combat and service elements. Furthermore the Navy protects the territorial waters and marine interests of Sanama.

Fleet Marine Detachments | ||||
Marines serve on a rotational basis on all Navy ships in the Awake, Rhodondra, Montran and Dominator classes. The Marines provide a complement to the ship security detail, as well as a rapid response and reaction force to immediate surface threats and on shore missions. Procurements
It is rumoured that the Sanaman federal government is looking to procure at least four classes of warships: a frigate class, a corvette class specifically for submarine and littoral defence, a minesweeper with minelayer capabilities, and a submarine class able to operate in shallow waters with AIP capability.
