The 2012 Benacia Cup was the first tournament of the Benacia Cup, and will be held in Sanilla between 13 August and 22 August 2012. The six competing national teams all qualified successfully to be involved. The tournament's matches were played in three stadiums in three different cities around Sanilla.
The tournament was won by Tellia, for their first ever title, who beat Batavia in the final in Mortis Mercatoria.
Hosts
Sanilla was chosen as the hosts of the tournament after submitting one of two applications. The FMF Executives agreed that the Sanillan bid was more suited for hosting than the other applicant's and it was announced that the host's national team would receive an automatic berth in the tournament.

Qualification
Qualification for the 2012 Benacia Cup was decided by the WMFA's groups in the 2012 FMF World Cup qualification rounds. Both the winners and runners-up from all four groups advanced to the tournament, as well as the third-placed team with the best record.
Squads
Teams were required to name a twenty-man squad for the tournament, with two goalkeepers, numbered 1 to 20.
