The Saint Andre national football team is the football team which currently represents the Natopian protectorate of Saint Andre, and previously represented the independent nation and Western Natopian protectorate of the same name. It is a member of the AEFA, and is run by the Saint Andre Division.
History
The team was founded in early 2015 after Saint Andre successfully claimed on Micras after seceding from Haifa. In the year's qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their five-team group with five points to their name. Later in the year, Saint Andre was annexed by Natopia as a protectorate and maintained its separate FMF membership.
The 2016 Copa Apollonia qualification rounds saw the team again finish bottom of their five-team group with two points.
Saint Andre again finished bottom of their four-team 2017 FMF World Cup qualification group with a sole point to their name. Later in the year, the team played in the 2017 Emerging Nations Cup, winning their quarter-final but losing their semi-final, before beating Centralya to finish third.
The team competed in the 2018 Copa Apollonia qualification rounds, where they finished bottom of their six-team group with three points. The team then participated in their second Emerging Nations Cup, but lost in the quarter-finals to Lusa.
In the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, the team failed to gain a point as they lost all eight matches and finished bottom of their five-team group.
In the following year's Copa Apollonia qualifiers, the team finished bottom of their six-team group with three points.
Ahead of the 2021 World Cup qualifiers, in late 2020, the team entered the inaugural edition of the Raspur Pact Nations League and competed in its bottom tier, finishing bottom of their four-team group after losing all of their matches. In the qualifiers, the team placed fourth in their five-team group with five points.
In the following year's Copa Apollonia qualifiers, the team finished fourth in their five-team group with four points. Soon afterwards, Saint Andre became a protectorate of Western Natopia following Natopia's split.
Saint Andre again became a Natopian protectorate after the nation reunified in early 2023 during the team's World Cup qualifying campaign. Those qualification rounds saw the team finish bottom of their six-team group without a point to their name, leading to an appearance in the 2023 Emerging Nations Cup, which Saint Andre would host. In the Emerging Nations Cup, they advanced to the final after two penalty shoot-outs before losing 2–0 to Chryse.
The team competed in the Copa Apollonia qualifiers the following year, where they placed fourth in their five-team group with nine points.
