The Ministry of Territorial Affairs of Anglien (Crandan: Ministerium fonn Gebiedsake) is the governmental department responsible for local governance, land administration, and civil registration in the Free Duchy of Anglien. Established in 1754 AN under the Charter of Anglien, the Ministry supervises the duchy's bailiwick councils, administers the Islands Administration covering the Purple Isles and the island of Rielrar, and runs the land registration program on which the TRCA's property restitution process depends.

The present Minister of Territorial Affairs is Torsten Eriksson, a former bailiwick administrator from the interior districts with a Norse-Crandish background. Eriksson oversaw the reconstitution of bailiwick assemblies after the expulsion of NKR forces in IX.1754 AN and was appointed to the Council of Ministers the following month.

Heritage registries

The Ministry maintains the duchy's registry of protected religious and cultural sites. The registry lists 34 protected Alpine Temple sites alongside the Cathedral-Basilica of Bergbuurg and the smaller Alexandrian Nazarene chapels of the eastern districts. It was established during the transitional period and continues under Chapter II of the Constitution of Anglien. That chapter places under the protection of the state the temples and sanctuaries of the Alpinist religion, the churches of the Alexandrian Nazarene faith, the maritime traditions of the Mala'anje, the dialect of the Norse-Crandish community, and the Purple Temple of the Purple Islanders.

The registry was compiled after the expulsion of NKR forces in IX.1754 AN, when the extent of the damage to the temple network first became measurable. Sites are entered on the evidence of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Chamber of Property and Institutional Crimes, whose reports on the destruction of religious sites are issued jointly with the affected communities and are distinct from the Chamber's restitution orders. Under Chapter XI the Commission's documentary and commemorative functions pass to the Anglien Memory Commission.

Founded by ducal decree of Edgard III in 1755 AN and seated at Bergbuurg, the Ducal Society of the Blue Angelfish carries out the documentation and restoration work. It works with the Chamber of Property and Institutional Crimes, and with the joint heritage committee it shares with the Alexandrian Nazarene Church for Bergbuurg. The Society has represented the duchy in the Organisation of Blue Symbol Societies as a charter member since 1755 AN.

Two heritage designations carry constitutional status of their own. Bergbuurg holds an entrenched charter as the duchy's designated heritage city, a status Chapter XI extends to the city's religious landscape. The Plein fonn Versoening in Johannsessbuurg is a protected memorial site that may not be built upon.

The registry also carries a military function. The Anglian Ducal Guard has no chaplain on its establishment, and the Alpine Temple seeks no appointments away from its own sites, so observance for the Alpinist majority of the ranks runs through whichever registered temple lies nearest a battalion's garrison. At Eesdehaven the priests of the nearest temple give the blessing of the fleet that opens the fishing season, over the craft of the Anglian Maritime Service and the boats of the port's Alpinist fishing families.
