The Ducal Society of the Blue Angelfish is the national cultural heritage protection organization of the Free Duchy of Anglien, headquartered in Bergbuurg. Founded in 1755 AN by ducal decree of Edgard III in the aftermath of the NKR insurrection and the Natopian intervention in Anglien, the Society was established as part of the duchy's post-war reconstruction effort, with its initial mandate centered on the documentation and restoration of Alexandrian Nazarene churches, Alpine Temple sites, and other cultural and religious property destroyed or desecrated under Nü Krantisk Rapskaff occupation. It works in concert with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Anglien's Chamber of Property and Institutional Crimes and the joint heritage committee for Bergbuurg established with the Autocephalous Nazarene Church of Alexandria. Its protected symbol, a blue angelfish on a white field, derives from the angelfish that has served as the heraldic emblem of Anglien since the migration of the Anglish tribes from Lyrica. The Society is a charter member of the Organisation of Blue Symbol Societies (OBSS) since 1755 AN and represents Anglien within that body.
