Mercury legislative elections, 1739

The Mercury legislative elections of 1739 were held in III.1739 to elect the twelfth Mercurian Parliament. Voting took place in all twenty states, each electing a number of representatives, using the Sainte-Laguë system.

Overview

President Gabrielle Fisher stood down as leader of the National Democratic Party for this election, having served as President for six years. She was replaced by Lewis Mills as leader, who was contesting his first election as leader.

The Presidential election was held following the legislative elections, between the leaders of all parties that attained over 10% of the available seats in Parliament. Eight Conservatives declined to vote in the second round.
