The Kildare national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Kildare. It was a member of the AEFA. The team was the official successor of Jingdao and its predecessors, and as such retained their records.
History
The team was founded in early 2022 after the foundation of Kildare as the successor state to the Great Apollonian constituent nation of Jingdao. After placing seventh in the 2012 Zeeburg Tournaments under the name of South Batavia, the team existed three times in the FMF's history as Jingdao, initially competing in the 2013 Four Nations Internationals, and 2013 and 2014 FMF World Cup qualifiers, albeit without success.
After a hiatus from FMF membership, Jingdao returned with more success in the 2017 qualifiers, advancing to the 2017 FMF World Cup where they registered a surprise quarter-final finish. The team continued to perform well and qualified for the 2018 Copa Apollonia before also qualifying for the next year's World Cup, but were eliminated in the group stage both times. Despite advancing to the 2020 Copa Apollonia finals the following year, ultimately reaching the quarter-finals, the 2021 qualifiers saw the team fail to qualify for the first time since 2014 before the succession of Kildare occurred in early 2022.
The team competed as Kildare in the 2022 Copa Apollonia qualifiers, where they finished second in their five-team group with 17 points. Shortly afterwards, Kildare was annexed by Shireroth, and the national team was integrated into Shireroth's.
