Jean-Luc Desalines (born 22.IX.1700 AN) is a New Alexandrian diplomat serving as Ambassador of Nouvelle Alexandrie to Lac Glacei since 1746 AN. Born in Chambéry to a family of alpine vintners, Desalines studied economics and international trade at the University of Chambéry before completing graduate studies in diplomacy at the Royal University of Parap. His early career focused on commercial affairs, serving as a trade attaché in Hurmu and later as economic counselor at the embassy in Natopia, where he developed expertise in northern Apollonian affairs. The Department of State appointed him to Monte Glacei as Lac Glacei began emerging from its isolationist period under Grand Duke Augustin. Desalines has worked to expand commercial ties between the two nations, negotiating agreements on cross-border agricultural trade and coordinating New Alexandrian participation in infrastructure development around the Apollonian Express rail network.
