The University of Chambéry (Alexandrien: Université de Chambéry) is a public research university located in the city of Chambéry, the capital of the Region of Valencia, Nouvelle Alexandrie. It was founded in 1700 AN, providing the region with a higher education facility, creating new economic opportunities and offering tertiary education.
History
The University of Chambéry was established in 1700 AN by members of the University of Cárdenas and University of Santander. It was in large part an effort to bring high-quality tertiary education to the Region of Valencia, one of the few regions in Nouvelle Alexandrie without an university. Since its founding, it has been a strong supporter of the Alexandrian legacy in the region. It has also been since its beginning been strongly connected to the major winemaking economy of Valencia, a fact strengthened by two of its initial sponsors: and Carciner, two of the five renowned "Cinco Castillos". The majority of its student body is located in only two faculties: Economics; and Science and Engineering.
Academics
The University of Chambéry is organized into several faculties and offers a diverse range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. The faculties include:

Research
The University of Chambéry has a small dedicated research institute, with a strong focus on environmental and biomedical sciences. It has historically had close ties with the University of Cárdenas, who has often partnered with the researchers at Chambéry on the subject of agricultural technology and innovation.
Campus
The University of Chambéry's campus is located on the eponymous Colline Universitaire, at the northwest end of the city. It consists of two major facilities: the Main Building and the University Library. There is also a major dormitory for on-campus housing. The university is connected to the bus network with three dedicated bus stops.
