Chambéry

Chambéry is the capital city of Valencia, a region of Nouvelle Alexandrie. It is located on the Captive Sea and is a major port. It is a temperate city with sandy beaches. It is the twelfth most populous city. It has a population of 493,129 (1748 AN).
The city was once the capital of the Kingdom of Valencia, a constituent part of the Empire of the Alexandrians. It is therefore a historical and cultural center of the Alexandrians. Chambéry is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Federation, with an extensive nightscene. Wine from Chambéry, such as the renown Castillo del Sol Chardonnay, is said to be a major part of its local economy and attractiveness. Another major landmark is the Palace of La Alborada, built in 1722 AN for then Prince Uturuncu and his wife Adelaide. Since the ascension to the throne as King Sinchi Roca II, this palace has served as the primary private residence and holiday retreat for the monarch.
The city of Chambéry is governed by its namesake State of Chambéry, a state in the region of Valencia. The city is divided into wards.
