Game of Fortune
Game of Fortune is a Constancian game show, very popular in Nouvelle Alexandrie. It is known as Treasures of the Imperial State within Constancia.
Format
Contestants are drawn at random from various locations and occupations within the Imperial State, and generally provide a present for the host, with a strong relation to their job or location of residence. For example, if the contestant is a shipyard worker, he would bring a model of a ship, while women contestants usually provide a sample of their home or cultural cooking. If food is presented, the studio audience is also provided with a sample.
Contestants gather around a spinning wheel. Each contestant is provided an opportunity to spin the wheel. The contents of the wheel vary per show but generally involves various locations of the Imperial State and Eura, and a counterpart prize. Locations such as Aqaba and Astérapolis are highly prized, due to the usual offers of a free state-provided apartment for Aqaba, and an all-expenses trip to Astérapolis, including a short audience with Princess Rosamund. In one surprise segment, the contestant who managed to snag the Nivardom location had lunch with the former Basilinna and Princess Olympia.
It is produced and distributed in Constancia and Nouvelle Alexandrie by Eura Syndicated Broadcasting Media (ESB Media) and distributed in the Region of Alduria by the National Aldurian Broadcasting Corporation.
Observers from outside the Imperial State have noted that the show is highly utilized for state propaganda.
Syndication
A Benacian spin-off, "Petals of the Lotus", is planned for streaming at appropriate access tiers on the Benacian Data Network from 1718 AN.
