Chairwoman's notes

  • Hey all, it might seem a bit early to start planning the FNORDS for 2024, but I want to open nominations now already because we could otherwise forget all the magical things that have happened throughout the year. So please nominate throughout the year, from this moment until the last day of December. -xx- Annna (talk) 12:55, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
  • Nominations are closed now. Annna (talk) 19:58, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Jury

Nominations

I will ask for nominations for any of the old categories or any new categories. Please include links (where appropriate) for any references, please also include motivations. Also, when you nominate, please sign four tildes in a row (~~~~). Nominate away!

Overall Achievement

  • Nedland, or by his real name Edward "Ned" Greiner, posthumously for all his work on Micras, such as Krasnocoria and Krasnarus. (Gustaaf Vermeylen) 22:21, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Barnaby for all the things done as AdGen of the MCS and as FMF President, despite all the commitments and problems irl. LoZar (talk)
  • Bijaro: While we may not always see eye-to-eye, his œuvre of work through 2024 covered a huge range of aspects relating to his nation (a notably positive rejuvenation of the Bassarids, to add), Micras as a whole and the further Atos system. In addition to an overall participation, I often see this award as a "lifetime achievement" opportunity, and I can think of few who deserve it more than the guy whose Micras career now spans twenty years and who continues to produce some great stuff despite being an admittedly contentious member on a number of occasions in years past! Craitman (talk) 23:51, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Conflict Resolution

  • The Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Confoederatio Aemilia for their peaceful resolution of a simmering demographic conflict in Alrig, resolved through a peaceful referendum. Annna (talk) 08:11, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
  • Both Eds for resolving a potential conflict in Eura and their joint efforts to make WMDs a thing of the past. EF2000 13:16, 31st December 2024

Best Revolutionary Concept

Cultural Development

  • Last year she received many, but Annna continues to have the best branding of any nation on Micras with Confoederatio Aemilia. No other nation can so instantly be recognized by just one color. James E Wilary (talk) 01:53, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Annna for her development of the Aemilian Federation, Murder,... (including its nifty map, [1])-Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
    • I second this nomination too! LoZar (talk)
  • Jonas, for everything in Shireroth. – Ric (talk) 12:13, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Bijaro, fo his work on Flora and fauna of the Strait of Haifa. -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Edgard for his work on Nouvelle Alexandrie. The page about Aurelia is a great example of cultural development, combined with nice pictures. -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

'Tis But a Flesh Wound

  • Calbion, especially Ric's article the Fall of Calbion. It's a great extensive work on the disintegration of the nation after the primary caretaker, Jack, left the community and gave control to Ric. I really appreciate it how the nation doesn't just cease to exist, but goes out with a massive bang. Annna (talk) 12:58, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Seconded if, as it now seems, Calbion will largely survive much as it was before. 😏 Continuator (talk) 11:12, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
  • Ashinthael, for being destroyed by a bunch of bat-winged rabbits. Not the most impressive way to go out, but memorable for sure.
  • Barnaby for graciously ending his tenure as AdGen of the MCS [2]. -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Ardy, Jonas and Salome for plunging the Benacian Union and Shireroth into a neverending war and ignoring it is even happening half of the time. -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
  • The MCS itself. Following some turbulent times in the past 18 months or so, of which I can take as much credit as you choose, things seem to be back on smoother sailing, with multiple Council members now actively involved in updating maps and a new AdGen being put in place according to the white smoke emanating from Micras Towers of late. Craitman (talk) 23:57, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Sport

  • Issac of Daau for sport. Issac has great enthusiasm within the FMF and deserves recognition for his efforts this year. EF2000, 13:13, 31st December 2024
    • Seconded. You did a very good job, Ishac. LoZar (talk)
  • Gustaaf Vermeylen for his attempt to hype up sport in his country (Çakaristan national football team,...) -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
    • Seconded. Any attempt by a "non-sporty" person to get stuck in is always welcomed. While some mistakes needed correcting, that hasn't blunted the enthusiasm and his ideas have been good. Craitman (talk) 23:59, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Art

  • Bijaro for several of his moving images of animals, etc. (e.g.: [3] ) -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Mondo for work like this ([4])-Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Cartography

  • Jonas Windsor for the work on his map of Benacian Shireroth and the map of the Shirerithian Imperial League Annna (talk) 12:17, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
  • Kemal HagemaruFRP for maintaining his incredible clickable map of Phinbella. Annna (talk) 12:17, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
  • Kemal HaremaruFRP for his neverending map creations on Discord. Ishac (talk) 10:54, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
  • Kemal HagemaruFRP for his [5]. -Jonas Windsor (talk) 13:58, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
