{{{1}}} This article or section is a work in progress. The information below may be incomplete, outdated, or subject to change.

The Aldillo twins, Titu Inca Sumaq Aldillo and Malkir Sisa Qori Aldillo (born 11.VII.1728 AN), are the sons of Brugen Aldef, last President of the Realm's General Staff in the Sovereign Confederation, and Princess Sofia, Duchess of Hualla of Nouvelle Alexandrie. As the sole children of one of the Confederation's most consequential political figures and a princess of the House of Inti-Carrillo, the twins occupy a position of considerable symbolic weight in both the Sovereign Confederation and Nouvelle Alexandrie. Titu stands to inherit the Ducal seat of Hualla and County of Cuernavaca. Malkir has pursued an active career in Sovereign public affairs and economic development. They are also members of the Order of the Holy Lakes (and thus citizens of Hurmu) by descent from their mother.

Early Life and Education

Titu and Malkir Aldillo were born in their father's native Ketsire in the Sovereign Confederation's Wintergleam circuit. Their birth prompted celebrations in both the Confederation and Nouvelle Alexandrie, marking the continuation of the House of Aldillo and a further deepening of ties between the two states.

The boys' names reflected their dual heritage. Titu Inca drew on Wechua royal tradition through their mother's House of Inti-Carrillo lineage, while Sumaq (meaning "beautiful" or "excellent" in Wechua) echoed one of their mother's own given names. Malkir drew on northern Sutherathasian phonetic traditions that their father admired for their austerity, while Sisa (Wechua: "flower") and Qori (Wechua: "gold") honored their mother's heritage and the memory of the old Goldshirean territories that formed part of the Confederation's historical substrate.

Their birth also influenced the decision of their father, Brugen Aldef, to resign the Presidency of the Realm's General Staff in 1729 AN, which he credited in part to the desire to participate actively in raising his sons. The retired President proved a devoted if demanding father, overseeing a rigorous household curriculum that balanced technical subjects with history, governance theory, and physical discipline. Young Titu and Malkir grew up surrounded by the machinery of their family's company and the Confederation's political class; former ministers, guild representatives, and visiting dignitaries from across the Benacian Union were regular presences in the Aldef household.

Their mother, Princess Sofia, took primary responsibility for languages and cultural identity. By the time the twins were adolescents, both possessed functional fluency in Wintergleamish, Istvanistani, Alexandrian, Martino, and working Praeta. Sofia arranged regular visits to Nouvelle Alexandrie, ensuring the boys understood their grandfather's kingdom as something more than a diplomatic abstraction. Titu demonstrated a particular aptitude for Wechua that his mother attributed to his instinct for patterns; Malkir proved the more socially adept linguist of the pair, his Praeta eventually reaching a fluency enabling easy participation in Underwall's political culture.

Both twins were educated at the GleamCo Engineering Campus of the Benacian Academy in Ketsire. Titu's interests veered toward applied administration and land management rather than engineering proper, while Malkir pursued studies in political economy and institutional mechanics, completing further advanced study at the Benacian Academy's campus in Underwall and interning within the Gæta uis Korïaneï as a junior analyst. That posting gave him direct exposure to the policy commission's investigative methods and the constitutional machinery of the Confederation.

Brugen Aldef's death in 1752 AN arrived when the twins were twenty-four.

Inheritance and Estate Administration

Upon Brugen Aldef's death in 1752 AN, the family's holdings passed in complex fashion. The Aldef industrial and commercial assets, including a significant stake in GleamCo, were subject to provisions in the late President's will and to Sovereign legal requirements governing wealth transfer within the Guild of Factors.

The Duchy of Hualla and the associated County of Cuernavaca are located in the Wechua Nation within Nouvelle Alexandrie. Their administration presents an unusual challenge: Titu is a subject of the Benacian Union and a registered Sovereign of the Confederation, yet he holds a territorial title in a foreign kingdom whose political culture and legal traditions differ substantially from those of his homeland. He has approached this duality by maintaining a capable steward resident in Nouvelle Alexandrie while making personal visits to the estates at intervals compatible with his obligations in Ketsire.

Within the Confederation, Titu has focused on management of assets held in the family's ownership agreement with GleamCo's board of directors, and the quieter work of maintaining the networks of relationships that his father spent his life building. Dispite calls to do so from company and guild leadership, he has not sought election as a Speaker to the Miþuï and has expressed no ambition for senior institutional office. Acquaintances describe this as genuine temperamental preference rather than calculated restraint; where Malkir is drawn toward the energy of public affairs, Titu finds satisfaction in the slower rhythms of administration.

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Honorable Company on 14.V.1752 at Asterapolis resulted in the unanimous adoption of a resolution of condolence to Princess Sofia, Duchess of Hualla, and the House of Aldillo. Alongside this were further resolutions offering the vacant Directorship of Benacian Operations to Princess Sofia, as well as resolutions to offer adequate employment, consultancies, or directorships to the late Director's sons. The Board of Directors likewise unanimously resolved further to direct the Financial & Legal Directorate to assist in the transfer of assets to Princess Sofia, Duchess of Hualla and the late Director's sons without delay, and resolved finally to elect Princess Sofia, Dowager Duchess to such directorships and roles her late husband held.

A year spent at the estates in the Wechua Nation during his youth left a lasting impression, and observers who knew both father and son remark that Titu's approach to governance — patient, systemic, wary of dramatics — owes as much to the Wechua agricultural traditions he encountered then as to Brugen Aldef's political philosophy.

Personal Life

Titu remains unmarried, a circumstance that has attracted comment in both the Sovereign and New Alexandrian press. His social circle is drawn primarily from the commercial and administrative class of Ketsire rather than from the realm's political elite, reflecting both his father's modest instincts and his own preference for professional over ceremonial relationships. He is known to share his mother's interest in technical subjects and maintains a working familiarity with GleamCo's manufacturing processes unusual in a person of his social position.

He visits Nouvelle Alexandrie in his capacity as Ducal heir of Hualla, maintaining the family's relationships with the royal court and with his mother's siblings, including King Sinchi Roca II, with whom he is said to share a cordial if somewhat formal rapport. He is closer in correspondence to his uncle Prince Amaru, whose interests in land management and sustainable agriculture overlap with Titu's own concerns.

Political and Economic Career

Following the completion of his studies, Malkir settled in Underwall, the Confederation's political center and the seat of the Miþuï. He joined the Nationalist and Humanist Party, the dominant political force that had shaped Sovereign governance since the founding of the modern Confederation, and took up work advising several Guild representatives in the Confederation's dealings with the Chamber of Guilds and Corporations. His combination of institutional knowledge, inherited connections, and genuine political appetite made him useful to senior figures navigating the complex intersection of Realm and Union-level interests.

His father had always maintained that the Confederation's future depended on generating Sovereign economic value that could not be dismissed by Union-level institutions in Chryse, and Malkir has writen at length of his internalized this conviction. He has focused his public activities on economic modernization in the Confederation's guilds, particularly on how Analog AI engineering services and advanced compufactoring can be integrated into guild structures without disrupting the social fabric those structures support.

He has written several policy papers, distributed through the Sovereign Bureau's public channels, arguing that the digital preservation of human souls represents an untapped source of institutional continuity and that its governance framework requires substantial reform to prevent exploitation by private interests with insufficient accountability to the Miþuï.

Relationship with GleamCo and Views on the Panopticon

Malkir does not hold a seat on GleamCo's board of directors (though the position is currently occupied by his mother) but he maintains an advisory relationship with the company's leadership and is widely understood to represent a potential successor to the family's commercial interests. His interest in the surveillance equipment division is professional as well as inherited: he views the Panopticon infrastructure that his father helped build as a permanent feature of Sovereign life requiring continuous scrutiny rather than institutional inertia.

Malkir's public record on the Commission for the Panopticon represents perhaps the most significant departure from his father's legacy. While Brugen Aldef constructed the surveillance apparatus and defended it as essential to post-war stability, Malkir has argued that the Civic Trust Score system require constant review for structural reforms to reduce the weight given to social association data and to provide subjects with greater procedural clarity in contribution adjustment assessments.

He has stopped well short of opposing the Panopticon as such. His position is, broadly, that his father built something necessary that has since calcified, and that an institution designed to impose accountability on others must itself remain accountable. This argument has found an audience among younger Speakers in the Miþuï and among certain Guild representatives who chafe at the administrative burden the Panopticon imposes on their chapter operations. It has also attracted scrutiny from more conservative figures who view it as a first step toward the dilution of the surveillance system's effectiveness.

Personal Life

Malkir lives in Underwall, maintaining a secondary residence in Ketsire and returning regularly, particularly for visits with his mother and for occasions when his brother Titu requires his counsel on family affairs. He travels to Nouvelle Alexandrie somewhat less frequently than Titu, but his visits tend to be more politically purposeful. King Sinchi Roca II reportedly finds in Malkir a candor that protocol-conscious courtiers rarely provide.

He is unmarried as of 1753 AN, though his social life is considerably more visible than his brother's. The Underwall political scene, which blends guild commerce with institutional intrigue and a self-conscious intellectual culture fed by regular policy releases, suits him. He is a regular presence at the salons that cluster around the Miþuï Building and has developed a reputation as a sharp and occasionally exhausting conversationalist.

His interests outside public affairs include historical political theory — he maintains his father's library in the Ketsire house, expanded with his own additions — and the older tradition of analog computing that GleamCo has both preserved and developed. He is said to design micro-analog circuits as a form of recreation, a habit acquired from his mother's influence.

Relationship Between the Twins

Those who know the twins well describe a relationship that is genuinely close and intermittently exasperating to both parties. Titu administers what their father built with their mother; Malkir interrogates it. Both modes of inheritance are understood within the family as expressions of the same fundamental loyalty to Brugen Aldef's legacy, though the brothers do not always agree on what that loyalty requires.
